Lontani dal clamore delle piazze e delle adunate oceaniche\, uomini e donne raccontavano al dittatore le proprie sofferenze\, dando voce a un popolo povero e dolente\, assai lontano dall’immagine di prosperità offerta dalla propaganda. \nLinda Giuva e Giovanni De Luna ci spiegano la costruzione del mito del Duce raccontata attraverso le lettere degli italiani a Mussolini\, provenienti dall’Archivio centrale dello Stato. \nGli Autori \n– Linda Giuva\nProfessoressa associata di Archivistica alla Sapienza Università di Roma\, membro di comitati scientifici di istituti culturali nazionali\, ha preso parte a ricerche nazionali e internazionali e seguito alcuni progetti per il Centro DigiLab della Sapienza. \n– Giovanni De Luna\nstorico\, saggista e autore televisivo italiano\, docente di Storia contemporanea all’Università di Torino. DESCRIPTION:Nouvelles recherches autour du quartier Italie et des migrations au Bassin minier\nJournée Louis Rech – Journée d’hommage et d’études 2026\nLe dimanche 25 janvier 2026\, le Centre de Documentation sur les Migrations Humaines\, la Chaire « Histoire et Migrations » et la Ville de Dudelange organisent une journée commémorative à l’occasion du centième anniversaire de la naissance de Louis Rech (1926-2012). \nLouis Rech\, né en Italie\, a été le premier bourgmestre (1985-1993) issu de l’immigration à diriger une commune luxembourgeoise. Aujourd’hui\, de nombreux enfants d’immigrés ont trouvé leur place dans le monde politique luxembourgeois. À travers cet hommage évoquant le parcours de l’édile dudelangeois\, les organisateurs souhaitent toutefois rappeler que cette émancipation politique n’a pas été une chose banale et qu’elle s’est faite au prix d’engagements personnels intenses et de luttes sociétales importantes. \nCette journée offrira un cadre pertinent pour présenter les recherches actuelles sur l’histoire des migrations à Dudelange et\, plus largement\, dans la région minière. \nLa journée se tiendra de 10h00 à 17h00 au petit auditoire du Centre Culturel Régional Opderschmelz à Dudelange. La matinée sera consacrée aux recherches sur Dudelange\, à travers des présentations de différents chercheurs. L’après-midi\, des présentations de recherches récentes sur la ville d’Esch-sur-Alzette inviteront à une approche comparative. Parmi ces interventions : dans l’après-midi\, la professeure Maria Luisa Caldognetto présentera sa collègue italienne\, Paola Bezzi\, qui présentera son livre récemment publié « Destinazione sottosuolo »\, sur l’histoire d’une famille italienne qui a émigré de Romagne à Esch au début du XXe siècle. \nLes présentations se feront en français\, allemand et italien (une traduction sera assurée). \nL’événement est en entrée libre et ouvert à toute personne intéressée. Mention : « Cotisation ABIL\n20… ». – Contact : amisbiluxembourg@hotmail.com \nLe monument “No pasarán”\, œuvre du sculpteur Lucien Wercollier\, a été inauguré le 8 novembre 1997 en souvenir des 102 volontaires qui sont partis clandestinement du Luxembourg entre 1936 et 1938 pour défendre la république espagnole contre les\ntroupes du général Franco\, de l’Allemagne nazie et de l’Italie fasciste. Dudelange a compté 27 volontaires\, dont beaucoup dans le quartier Italie autour de la Gare-Usines. Les Spueniekämpfer ont été réhabilités en 2003 par un vote unanime de la Chambre\ndes Députés. Le 10 octobre 2021\, une inscription en leur hommage a été dévoilée au monument du Souvenir\, « Gëlle Fra ».
